Because stalkers have to eat too, you know

I’ve become a professional stalker in the past week. A paid one at that.

I’m part of the media cohort shadowing Queensland’s leaders around the state as they hit the hustings ahead of the March 24 election.┬áSo far I’ve been to Brisbane, Cairns, Townsville, Mackay and back to Brisbane, a round trip of about 3,500km in six days. Lucky LNP leader Campbell Newman’s team has been kind enough to fly us around. The poor buggers on Anna Bligh’s campaign have done those kilometres and more in a bus adorned with a giant portrait of the Premier’s face.

Pumpkin Soup

Greetings from Van Diemen’s Land! Ash and I have headed South this summer to experience the wild places of Tasmania from the comfort of a Britz campervan. The crisp air, small campervan kitchen and a toothache (on my behalf) called for something comforting yet simple to cook and slurp on our first night away. Pumpkin soup it was. Unfortunately my best efforts to shop while having drunk a little too much vino on the first day resulted in failure to purchase ye ol’ vege stock.
